We are a small bespoke production company based in Australia. We make films that connect people with nature, blending the genres of cinematic wildlife documentaries and emotionally driven character narratives. They span our world from some of its highest peaks to beneath the surface of our oceans.

Stories for the natural world

Our Director is Dr Alexander Vail, a BAFTA award-winning cinematographer whose work has appeared on landmark productions for the BBC, Netflix, Apple, Disney, and others. Over his career, he has contributed to more than 20 major wildlife series, including the upcoming Blue Planet III. His work includes iconic sequences ranging from coral grouper hunting alongside octopus for Blue Planet II to snow leopard cubs high in the Himalaya for the BBC's Asia: Above the Clouds.

Alex has been deeply fascinated by the natural world since growing up on a remote island research station. He holds a PhD in animal intelligence and behaviour from the University of Cambridge and is passionate about telling stories of the people who live and work alongside nature.
